Located on the outskirts of Vlora, Kaninë Castle stands on a hilltop overlooking the Albanian Riviera. It was originally a settlement for the Amantes tribe, but later on, it was turned into a religious complex.
The castle has fallen into the hands of many rulers, like the Byzantine, Serbian, and Ottoman empires. Nowadays, only some ruins are available to visit and explore, along with a few towers. There is greenery all around, creating a very pleasant scenery.
You can visit the castle for an entrance fee of about €3 per person.
